In today's dynamic business environment, creating a stimulating work environment and continuously investing in employee development are key factors for achieving excellence in companies. On April 9th, CEPOR and SELECTIO Group gathered around thirty owners of micro and small businesses and organized a workshop on managing human resources in micro and small enterprises. The workshop was held as part of the LEAD project - Learning and Development in Micro and Small Enterprises as a pilot training activity.

During the workshop, a trainer and HR expert from SELECTIO Group highlighted the advantages of implementing formal HR practices in micro and small enterprises. Entrepreneurs were advised on strategies to attract and retain top talent. The workshop introduced the competency model, emphasizing its utility for micro and small businesses. In addition to theoretical approaches, the application of tools tailored for managing human resources in micro and small enterprises, presented and published in the LEAD manual, was demonstrated.

Additionally, participants gained insights from the experiences of Ciklopea and Huddle companies regarding HR development. An invaluable aspect of the workshop was the open discussion and exchange of experiences among entrepreneurs, enabling them to address common challenges in HR management.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the constructive discussion on the values of HR practices, and we hope that the participants have recognized the importance of these principles and will apply them in their daily practice.
