The Wroclaw University of Economics and Business was founded in 1947 as a private higher education institution. Over 72 years of its existence it went through multiple transformations leading to its current form of a public university with a well-established position at a national level, employing 670 academic staff, and providing education to 14,500 students of the full time and part time courses. The University is proud to contribute to the professional career of its 87.000 graduates.

The Wroclaw University of Economics and Business consists of four Faculties: the Faculty of Economic Sciences, the Faculty of Management, Computer Science and Finance, the Faculty of Economics, Management and Tourism, as well as the Faculty of Engineering and Economics. The university offers quality programmes in 9 majors, including Business Analytics, Economics, Finance and Accounting, Business Informatics, Logistics, International Economic Relations, Tourism, Management, as well as Management and Production Engineering, and nearly 100 specializations.

Beside teaching activities, the University and its staff are involved in diverse scientific domestic and international projects and events and creates partnerships in order to disseminate innovative knowledge. Moreover, the University closely cooperates with local and national governments, and well as builds good relations with SMEs and multinational corporations. Contacts with businesses include a wide range of interests and involve postgraduate training courses, expert opinions, as well as consulting and advisory services.
